Twine

Twine is a strong, double stranded thread used to make many products. Yarns are twisted together using natural fibers such as cotton, sisal, jute, hemp as well as a variety of synthetic fibers. It is applied in many products because of it's durability and tensile strentgh.

It is very popular on farms as it is used to bind bales of hay and straw. Thicker varieties are used to make fishing nets, clothing lines, and carpets. The more delicate versions are used in crafts and in jewelry making. Pet toys are also created using these versatile fibers.

However, it is not limited to these, it can also be used creatively in any way you wish. The only consideration on your part is the material it's made of. If you are environmentaly concerned, then using natural twine is the way to go, which is often just as strong if not stronger than it's synthetic counterparts.
